Joni Hirsch

Joni Hirsch is a Master’s student in the Department of City and Regional Planning at the University of California, Berkeley, with a focus on housing and community and economic development. Before entering graduate school, she worked for a law firm in Washington, D.C., whose practice focused on civil rights and fair housing. Currently, she is an intern at PolicyLink, an Oakland-based equity advocacy organization with offices in New York, Washington, D.C., and Los Angeles. There she is helping develop capacity-building tools for implementation of the new Affirmatively Furthering Fair Housing (AFFH) rule. She has a B.A. in American Studies from Amherst College.
